Welcome Spring

There has been a lot going on in our classroom these past few weeks. We just finished up our weather unit and are beginning a unit on Communities. The students are very excited and will all get to create their own house this week. Our All About books are coming along and are looking very good. I encourage you to ask your child about his or hers. Thank you again for all the parent who have come in to help it means so much! One of the issues we are having in the classrom is showing repsect, to me, our classmates and to classroom material. We have had lots of talks about how we can show repsect. Last Friday, we started a new activity called bucket filling. Each child was assigned another student in the class randomly, their task was to write a compliment to this person. Then we read them out loud to eachother. The outcome was great and the students really enjoyed recieving compliments. I want to continue doing this, so please ask your child about this. Here is our agenda for this week. Sorry I didn't get to it last week. This Friday the Jefferson Dancers are coming to our school, the students will get to take a dancing class with them and then end of the day will be an assembly.
